  • Advised the world’s second largest palm oil company on contract dispute and successfully negotiated an out of court settlement with India’s largest commodity traders on a US$ 3.1 million claim.
  • Advised a Singapore based private equity firm on disputes with target Indian company regarding representation in company, allotment of shares, foreign exchange regulations etc.
  • Representing the world’s largest publicly traded corporation (by market capitalization) and the world’s 2nd largest information technology company and the world’s 3rd largest mobile phone maker on all product liability cases filed all over India by consumers.
  • Advised one of the world’s most renowned entertainment companies in a dispute with its Indian licensee, advise on termination of contracts and post termination disputes regarding discharge of assets, recovery of royalties and injunctions against use of intellectual property.
  • Advised a world leading apparel and accessories company on a dispute with an Indian company manufacturing and selling counterfeit products across India, including investigations into facilities and distributors selling counterfeit products.
  • Represented and advised a diversified French company that is involved in processing, trading and merchandising of agriculture and energy commodities in various trade disputes, including contracts relating to sale of cotton and oil across various states in India, including Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh.
  • Represent the world’s largest hotel company with several brand on various disputes in India, including infringement of trade marks and consumer disputes in various courts of India.
  • Represented a leading US broadcasting organisation on issues of cyber squatting including advising, litigation, negotiations and settlement with cybersquatter.
  • Advised a reputed European FMCG multinational on passing off issues, parallel imports, trans-border reputation, counterfeiting and related investigations in India.
  • Advised a world renowned California based private research university on disputes in India and misuse of name, infringement of trademark and advise on settlement.
  • Represented one of the largest Insurance companies in the world in a recovery matter on the principle of subrogation of rights which involves 9 entities in 4 different countries.
  • Mediated a dispute between three group companies of one of the largest and leading industrial houses in India. Disputes relate to ownership of intellectual property, distribution and licensing agreements between the group companies.
  • Represented the Government of Singapore (Public Trustee’s Office) in various matters in India involving recovery of dues on behalf of insolvent companies in Singapore, and worked in conjunction with Ministry of Finance in India to achieve the desired results.
  • Represented a major Indian engineering company in arbitration proceedings arising out of EPC and O & M Contract of 400 & 220 KV transmission Line in Himachal Pradesh.
  • Acted for an US entity in international commercial arbitration proceedings relating to an EPC contract for aircraft engines at New Delhi.
  • Represented an Indian IT company on disputes with former employees regarding confidentiality and non-compete agreements signed in connection with the employer’s liability to a third party imposing US$17 million liability on the employer for violation of secrecy provisions.
  • Acted for a major Japanese company in international commercial arbitration proceedings arising out of Contract for Supply of Telecom Equipment.
  • Successfully represented an US based chemical manufacturer and importer in a trade dispute with an Indian supplier, on account of defective shipments. Proceedings continued for few years through various for a including district courts, High Courts and Supreme Court of India.
  • Successfully resolved a dispute for an US based IT company, with its Indian employees. Issues relating to ownership of intellectual property, shareholding, transfer of funds from USA, financial mismanagement and employee’s obligations were resolved through mediation.
  • Represented a European manufacturer with a subsidiary in India in arbitration proceedings with service providers and architects relating to construction of factory premises. · Acted for a franchisor operating educational training institutes in a dispute with one of its competitors involving non-compete provisions in contract and a disputed nationwide advertising campaign.
  • Successfully represented one of the largest US based internet portals in a dispute with the local government administration in India. Dispute related to violation of labor laws by the company.
  • Successfully represented one of the world’s largest manufacturer of pneumatic products (based in Italy) in recovering monies from a defaulting distributor in India.
  • Successfully represented a subsidiary of a leading US marketing information service provider in a case of breach of an e-commerce site.
  • Successfully defended a South East Asian company in a patent and trade mark infringement suit filed by an US corporation in connection with distribution of products in the Indian market.
  • Represented a Government company controlled by the state of Maharashtra in arbitration proceedings arising out of a joint venture agreement with a large domestic corporation.
  • Represented two major shareholders in a dispute with other shareholders in proceedings filed before the Company Law Board of India. Disputes relate to shareholding and illegal disposal of assets by the company.
